I am a Spanish student of English literature in my last year of the degree (and here it last for 5 years!) and I have never read a better explanation of a poem. I loved the way you approached it, teaching us how to appreciate it and and the same time surprising/shocking the reader with your conclusions, as if you were a wonderful storyteller addressing a child. Congratulations!
Your small "lesson" has touched me, and I wish I could read some more about your vision of poetry in some other poems. It would increase my interest and admiration for poetry, no doubt! Well, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Whenever I have the time, I will be delighted to explore a little more your web page. Rebeca

Another online coloring site I recommend: <a href="http://thecolor.com" rel="nofollow">, a very useful and entertaining site for kids. TheColor.com helps kids learn color concepts, eye-hand coordination, picture comprehension – these skills form the foundation for early learning success. Everyone can use the site as no java, flash or applet is necessary to load the pages. Kids can email the pictures they colored or save them or print them.

Hey Patricia,

Glad you enjoyed the post. Alexander Key is magical. And it's not just the one book either. A lot of his work is out of print, but it's worth fishing around for.

Thanks for your comment!

I just finished reading this book to my 5/6th grade students and they loved it! I read this book during the blackout of 1965. I brought it home that day and finished it late that night. It was my first scifi and to this day I want to go live on Jon's planet.

This spoke to me in a very deep level. The poem itself is amazingly sensual but this response to it made me want to live again. Thank YOU!
